Holidays are over (mine had been very virtual holidays), and with the heart still bleeding because of the dreadful news coming from the Middle East and from the Eastern Europe (always trying not to be discouraged by the darkest future they seems to suggest), I learn, overwhelmed with joy, that today, 1st September 2014, the Thousand Days that will change Italy finally start.
These are the Thousand Days Mr Renzi, the youngest Italian Prime Minister ever, is talking about since last June (and he talked about them so often that someone could think that in fact they were already started…).
Well, now it’s official, the press conference has been held, the tweets have been twittered: we got nothing left to do except wait till May 2017 and let the youngest Italian Prime Minister work in peace. In the meanwhile, trying not to disturb our gracious leader, we can easily consult the thousand days’ internet site to control how this extraordinary, peaceful revolution progresses. It’s called Passodopopasso.italia.it (it means step by step), it’s new, it’s beautiful, it’s simple and instills optimism into our poor discouraged souls (and heaven only knows how much we need it): there are (very concise) infographics telling how good and great and useful the Thousand Days’ reforms will be and (very, very concise) news telling how successfully they progress. Every day there will be something new to learn and of course on every page you will find the Thousand days’ countdown. What more could we expect? I already feel all warm inside.

Archiviate le vacanze (non so le vostre, ma le mie sono state molto, molto, molto virtuali) e con il cuore pesante per le angosciose notizie che arrivano dal Medio Oriente e dall’est Europa (e cercando di non farmi abbattere dai foschi presagi per il futuro che ne scaturiscono), apprendo con immenso gaudio che oggi, 1° Settembre 2014, partono i mille giorni che cambieranno l’Italia, quelli di cui Matteo Renzi, il più giovane Presidente del Consiglio dall’Italia Unita, parla dalla fine di giugno (tanto che qualcuno forse aveva pensato che fossero già partiti…).
Ora è ufficiale, la conferenza stampa si è tenuta, i tweet son stati tweettati: non ci resta che attendere il maggio del 2017 e lasciare lavorare in pace il più giovane Presidente del Consiglio dall’Italia Unita. Nel frattempo, senza disturbare il manovratore, possiamo comodamente consultare il sito internet dei mille giorni per constatare i prodigiosi progressi di questa pacifica rivoluzione. Si chiama Passodopopasso.italia.it, è nuovo, è bello, è semplice e infonde ottimismo (che ce n’è tanto, tanto bisogno di questi tempi): ci sono le infografiche (sintetiche) che spiegano quanto saranno belle, buone e utili le riforme e le news (supersintetiche) che raccontano (e naturalmente soprattutto racconteranno) i progressi e i successi delle riforme. Ogni giorno verrà arricchito con qualcosa di nuovo e poi c’è pure una bella fascia con il conto alla rovescia.
Cosa si può volere di più dalla vita? Io già guardo con più fiducia all’avvenire.
