70 years have passed since the concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated by the Soviet Army but someone still stubbornly denies that the Holocaust, the Shoa, the systematic extermination of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, mentally and physically disabled, communists and political dissidents scientifically planned and carried on by the Nazi Germany ever happened. Out there (and here in the internet) someone still admires Hitler or Mussolini, some other uses the swastika like a prestigious decoration, someone driven by political or religious ideologies and soaked with hatred dreams of new exterminations. To celebrate the Holocaust Memorial Day this very morning in Rome, in front of the Yitzhak Rabin Park, someone (surely linked to a far-right group) hanged up a banner saying more or less “Holocaust historical lie. Hitler forever (a thousand years)”.

Sono passati esattamente 70 anni da quando l’Armata Rossa liberò Auschwitz, e ancora c’è chi non vuole credere che l’olocausto, la shoa, il sistematico sterminio di ebrei, zingari, omosessuali, persone affette da disabilità fisiche o psichiche, comunisti e dissidenti politici scientificamente programmato ed attuato dalla Germania Nazista sia mai accaduto. Là fuori (e qui in rete) c’è chi ancora venera Hitler, chi Mussolini e chi si fa fregio della svastica, chi spinto da diverse ideologie politiche e religiose si nutre d’odio e sogna nuovi stermini. Giusto questa mattina a Roma qualcuno ha deciso di celebrare la Giornata della Memoria appendendo di fronte al Parco Yitzhak Rabin uno striscione che diceva “Olocausto menzogna storica. Hitler per mille anni.”
