“…and that’s war! And that’s war!”

Rufus T. Firefly

From: Duck Soup – 1933

Or at least, that’s almost war…

How is it possible? We left MrB(erlusconi) in his best statesman pose, offering the universal peace to this (shitty) Country (that doesn’t deserve him but he loves so much anyway), announcing the end of the twenty-year war and what happens? He has been sentenced, by those (communist) judges in Milan (as usual!), to seven years in jail and he’s also been banned from public office (naturally he’s still a free man while he appeals against the ruling) and for what? Just a few elegant dinners and five or six phone calls to the police headquarters in a generous and extremely courteous attempt to help a young damsel in distress! Can you believe it?!?!! And all those millions of people who voted for Him? They can’t be insulted that way! Hey, it must be clear that He has no intention to provoke any kind of trouble to this (shitty) Country, and yesterday evening he told Mr Letta (our Prime Minister) that He has no intention to cause the end of this coalition government, not even if those (communist and moralist) judges persecute him so cruelly, because He’s a very reliable man and a great statesman too (after all in all these years he proved in many occasions that His only interest is the future of this – shitty – Country and not his own business troubles)! Well, anyway, He can’t tell how the members of His party will react, after all someone who’s so committed to the Holy cause of Freedom can’t tolerate such macroscopic injustice… so, from now on, is better that Mr Letta  keeps his eyes open because the sparkle could be the consumption tax, the new measures on labour, the F35s, someone who makes a joke about MrB’s or His daughter Marina’s hair (it seems she will be the leader of MrB party in the near future), a glance not very friendly, or even the wrong word about His young fiancé…and that will be war!

…ed è guerra! È guerra!”

Rufus T. Firefly
