“It’s over! It’s over! It’s all over!

The war…”

Gerald O’Hara

From: Gone with the Wind – 1939

Maybe you didn’t know but in Italy, during the past twenty years, there was a civil war going on. If now it’s over, it’s just because MrB(erlusconi), courageous and generous as usual, granted his support to the coalition government (in which left and right are finally allied) that has to face the economic crisis that made disappear more than 500000 jobs in Italy (it seems that they will never reappear again). Someone persists in fighting him, like those prosecutors in Milan persecuting him with the most incredible charges, and someone prefers to turn his eyes away from him not to see those persecutions, like the man who lives at the Quirinal Palace who’s doing nothing to protect him or to stop those unjust trials. But, thanks Heaven, MrB is still there to give us his advice. A few days ago he wisely reminded us that there’s no reason to change the Italian electoral law, you can’t eat it! (He’s so right and after all in which Country there’s a law called “la porcata”, the dirty trick ? We must be proud of this!) Today he (rightly) said that in these dark days, what our Country really needs, what people really want from politics, is a reform of our Constitution to give more power to the Prime Minister and to allow people (who thanks to the “porcata” can’t even chose the MPs or Senators) to elect the President of the Republic (now is elected by Parliament in a joint session of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate)…

And please don’t even think that MrB says all those things cause he’s trying to earn a personal profit (for instance, to reach an unassailable position, maybe President of the Republic, that could save him from justice), he never acted that way! He does what he does for us!

You shouldn’t think such things, it isn’t fair… Don’t you know? It’s over, the war it’s over!
