I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry for everything.”

Scarlett O’Hara

From: Gone with the wind – 1939

I’m sorry, I’m so dreadfully sorry, I almost feel ashamed… I must apologize from the bottom of my heart. I behaved so awfully all these years, always complaining about MrB, this great and honest business man, this benefactor, this victim of the Italian (un)justice. I know, there is no justification for my behaviour, but you should try and understand me… it’s not my fault… I grew up in a poor area, I attended the worst schools, all my teachers were communist, I breathed hate and social envy since I was a kid, I’m so full of prejudices that I can’t see what a great man He is, the economic, social and also aesthetic envy (I’m petite, insignificant, and I’m also ageing…) drove me to be sympathetic with those prosecutors who accused him of the most absurd crimes, to misunderstand his great generosity. I’m sorry, I’m sorry for everything…

Well, this could be, if you read it with a very whining voice sprinkling ashes on the top of you head (obviously you must adapt the text to your profile), the excuses we should make to MrB for all he had to face in all these sad years because of a bunch of malicious prosecutors and because of this “shitty Country” (MrB’s copyright).

Anyway, it would be nice if, in the meanwhile, those very eminent members of his party that are now very important ministers in the new coalition government, born to save our poor Country, could stop to look after MrB’s troubles with the law and respect the judiciary (for instance the minister of the Interior, Mr Alfano, shouldn’t attend demonstrations against the judiciary as he did last week), they could also avoid to propose laws that have just one beneficiary, they should stop to use this unusual government to demand us to loss the memory of what happened in the last twenty years (I’m not only talking about MrB’s scandals, I’m talking about how he governed the Country). It would be nice, and after twenty years, it would also be new, but I’m quite sure this is not going to happen and I’m sorry for that, I’m really sorry.
