While still waiting for the approval of the anti-corruption law…

In Lombardy a  councilor (Mr Zambetti) has been arrested because to reach the election he bought votes from ‘ndrangheta (criminal organization centred in Calabria, but well represented in Northern Italy) the same way someone buys Facebook’s friends. Apparently he didn’t understand that this way ‘ndrangheta could pretend his help to “adjust” their businesses (should we send him a copy of  “The Godfather”?)…

Finally Mr Formigoni, President of Lombardy Region since 1995, seems ready to resign  from his office (but while I’m writing he ain’t resigned yet!). Obviously he’ll resign just because 14 (14!!!) councillors in the regional council are under investigation and because Lega Nord, allied with his Party (PDL, Mr B party), fearing a complete failure in next general election, turned its back on him (a racist party grown thanks to slogans like “Rome the big thief, Lega won’t forgive” can’t support a party whose members are connected with mafia or ‘ndrangheta). Surely there’s nothing he should be ashamed of. There’s nothing wrong if a friend of yours pays for your expensive (very, very, very expensive) and exotic holidays. If the Region give to your friend’s Private clinics public subsidies, well, that’s just a funny coincidence… (and if you’re under inquiry, well that’s sabotage!)

And what about the government planning new cuts to the healthcare system?

This week I’m speechless.
