The “SuperMario (Monti) Asia Tour” continues and it’s a huge success! In Seoul, after shaking hands with Barack Obama our Hero received the promise to encourage investments in Italy made by the Chinese leader Hu Jintao. But there’s more, while SuperMario is in Japan taking a conference to Nikkei, new appreciations for his wonderful job market’s reform arrive from the European Commission. But in every success story there’s a downside… our Super Hero popularity is declining in Italy, but still confident he declared: “I think that the majority of Italians perceive that labour market’s reform as a necessary step made in the workers’ advantage”. And then again: “despite a few declining days due to our job market’s reform this Government is reaching a high consensus in polls, the political parties are not”. You know success may be dangerous, one can lose any contact with reality: one day you’re a sober professor, another day, just like Norma Desmond, you’re signing photos to answer your fans’ letters written by your butler. Thank god, SuperMario said, talking about the government he leads: “we are and should be a brief interlude”. Let’s hope he’ll never forget.
