My no cost knitting is producing some result at last. It may be a little frustrating and stimulating for creativity at the same time working with already fixed colours and amount of yarn.
Anyway… “Bette”(from Bette Davis one of my favourite classic Hollywood actresses)is how I named the new sweater with a 1940ish look I’ve designed and I’m working at. It has a square neckline, loose-fitting bodice with a laced central motif, a belt emphasizing its tight-fitting waistline and long sleeves reprising in their central part the laced motif. To realize it I’m using a recycled fine burgundy pure new wool yarn.
In the photo-gallery below you can see the sketch I made and a sample of the laced motif I’m using. As soon as possible photos of the finished sweater and more information will be available.

La mia maglia a costo zero inizia a produrre dei risultati. Può essere un po’ frustrante e insieme stimolante per la creatività lavorare con colori e quantità di filato già stabiliti.
In ogni caso…. “Bette” (da Bette Davis una delle attrici della Hollywood classica che preferisco) è il nome che ho dato al nuovo maglione con uno stile anni ’40 che ho disegnato e a cui sto lavorando.Ha lo scollo quadrato, un corpetto morbido con motivo traforato centrale, il punto vita ben segnato e sottolineato dalla cintura e le maniche lunghe che riprendono nella parte centrale il motivo del corpetto. Per realizzarlo sto usando un filato di pura lana vergine color bordeaux che ho riciclato.
