GreenClara and the Needlesf

So, in the end, Green Clara is ready to be shown (which means I finally had time to take some picture, in fact it has been ready for a while and has already made its début in real life).

My last creation, a green woollen sweater, is inspired to 1920’s fashion and therefore named after the “hottest jazz baby in film”, the very IT girl: Clara Bow.
OK… I know the sweater ain’t very hot, but at least is very 1920ish with its straight and sporty line brightened up by the asymmetric neckline. I used a fine green fine pure wool yarn and 2,5mm and 3mm (almost)straight needles to knit it.
Here are a few pictures. In fact the most difficult task in making Green Clara was try and take them, so please forgive him if they are far from being perfect (if you only  knew my camera…). Hope you like it.
A page for this new sweater will be ready soon, in the meanwhile I’m unravelling something old that soon will become something new…

Beautiful! I love this sweater. I hope the pattern has women’s sizes :)

I’m trying to learn how to turn my instructions for knitting patterns (created following my personal “method”, something I almost improvised years ago for necessity) in something other people could understand. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but…

  2. This looks great! I love the asymmetrical neckline especially.

I am loving it, it has a beautiful clear line and is very stylish! A wonderful combination of patterns and a lovely professional finish. Great work!

  4. Wow, beautiful sweater! I hope (once you have a pattern figured out/written) that it can be converted to machine knitting. I am all thumbs with needles…..
