Yesterday the German Chancellor Angela Merkel said: “Markets are against the people”. She finally noticed that the vast majority of people is paying to make a few people very rich thanks to speculations. Well, better late than never… Unfortunately every single measure to beat the speculation adopted so far, lead to the direction the Markets chose. All those “impressive” economic measures and reforms not only reduced people’s purchasing power, but also cut (and will cut even more in the future) people’s rights. Sometimes these reforms also produced some side effect that could be called comic if it wasn’t in fact tragic. In Italy for instance, the number of young unemployed people is rising also because, thanks to the recent State pension reform, older people will retire later. Now that also those European Chancelleries that are always so severe with the very little virtuous PIGS (a very offensive acronym indeed) have a firm grasp of the obvious, ain’t there anything Europe could do to rule the Markets?

Ieri la Cancelliera Tedesca Angela Merkel ha detto: “I mercati sono contro il popolo”. Finalmente si è accorta del fatto che in pochi, grazie alla speculazione, si stanno arricchendo a spese della maggioranza, meglio tardi che mai… Purtroppo però, tutte le ricette adottate fino ad oggi per battere la speculazione si sono mosse proprio nella direzione indicata dai Mercati. Le tanto decantate riforme “impressionanti” hanno limitato non solo il potere d’acquisto del “popolo”, ma spesso ne hanno limitato (e ne limiteranno in futuro) anche i diritti, producendo effetti che se non fossero tragici sarebbero persino comici, come l’aumento della disoccupazione giovanile causata, anche, dalla prolungata attività lavorativa dei più anziani costretti, dalla recente riforma, ad andare in pensione più tardi. Ora che anche le Cancellerie Europee più severe con i poco virtuosi PIGS (nomignolo davvero simpatico) hanno finalmente acquisito una solida conoscenza di ciò che a noi sembrava semplicemente ovvio, non sarebbe il caso che l’Europa facesse qualcosa per regolamentarli questi Mercati?
